Among the many pies I keep a finger in, there is the Wisconsin Regional Writers Association. This august organization, now in its 62nd year, serves writers amateur-to-pro who make Wisconsin their topic or base of operations. I serve as its Contests Workgroup Coordinator. When our next round of contests open, I’ll blog about that.
In the meantime, I’m here to talk up the fall conference in Stevens Point. The weekend’s agenda holds something for writers of every genre, from flash fiction to reminiscence, and every stripe, including novelists, memoirists, journalists, poets and playwrights. It’s good when a group with an interest in common but many avenues of approach get together. It’s ridiculously easy to learn something unexpected, unearth a new perspective, or make a new friend.

If you’re in the region or write about it, come join us!
