Meet Ann Imig, founder of “Listen to Your Mother”

Mother’s Day is coming up–a season I have always found prickly to navigate, as a non-mother myself and child of a nonconformist mother.

But hey, without mothers where would we be?

Let me introduce you to Ann Imig, “stay-at-home humorist,”  blogger, and founder of “Listen to Your Mother,” a national series of live readings by local writers in celebration of Mothers’ Day.

Madison’s event takes place May 12th at the Barrymore Theatre, 3pm, with 10% of proceeds going to benefit Domestic Abuse Intervention Services. Show information here

In the meantime, you can tune into a webinar in which Anne will be interviewed about “The Listen To Your Mother Show Phenomenon: How one (now hoarse) woman started a cultural movement to give Mother’s Day a voice.” Details here.

About first person productions

My blog "True Stories Well Told" is a place for people who read and write about real life. I’ve been leading life writing groups since 2004. I teach, coach memoir writers 1:1, and help people publish and share their life stories.

Thank you for the warm introduction, Sarah! LTYM celebrates non-moms and have had many sons and daughters read in our shows. Check it out:
