When were you happiest with your hair?

Hair. We all have some, or used to. Back in the day, some of us “let our freak flag fly”–used our hair to display our identities, to proclaim we are “of this tribe” and most emphatically “not of that one.”

“When are you going to cut your hair?” some of us were asked.

“When it doesn’t matter,” some of us answered.

So here’s my challenge to you: Tell me. When were you happiest with your hair? Give me the facts: What you looked like, how you styled those tresses. Give me the memory: What were you doing, what did you care about, what happened because of that? Give me the meaning: Why did you do that, care about that? How do you feel when you look back on that?

Send me up to 800 words–with a picture, if possible!
