Celebrate Our Odyssey Stories on August 3rd

The Odyssey Oral History Project has been collecting stories this summer from our “Odyssey Elders” so all can learn from their challenges and successes.

Oroki Rice and Ann Meyer pause after completing an interview in the workshop.

Eric Rodgers transcribes an interview at the Odyssey office.

On August 3rd, we’ll present our project to the community with Prizes! Stories! and Special Guests!

Come meet the volunteers, hear highlights from interviews collected so far, see our Oral History process in action, and observe an interview with Marshall Cook. Refreshments and conversation will follow our presentation.

When: August 3rd, 7-8pm

Where: Goodman South Madison Library Branch, 2222 South Park Street

This project has been supported by grants from the Goodman South Madison Library Foundation and the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission, and your donations.

About first person productions

My blog "True Stories Well Told" is a place for people who read and write about real life. I’ve been leading life writing groups since 2004. I teach, coach memoir writers 1:1, and help people publish and share their life stories.
