“Start Writing Your Memoir” workshop in Madison starts 9/21

For every life there’s a unique story–are you writing yours? Small groups are a great way to get ideas and stay motivated.

My next workshop starts Wednesday, September 21. For 8 weeks the class will discuss and practice techniques for writing about life experiences. Each class includes time to share what you’ve written in a supportive environment. You may write on suggested topics or choose your own themes.

The workshop meets at Westside Senior Center, 602 Sawyer Terrace from 11:00-12:50 on Wednesdays from 9/21 to 11/9. Brown bag lunches welcome. The cost for the workshop is $40. Attendance is limited to 16. Beginning and continuing writers are welcome.

To save a place in the class, contact  Ingrid Kundinger at the Westside Senior Center, ingridk@westmadisonseniorcoalition.org or 238-0196.

If you have questions for the instructor, contact me, Sarah White at whitesarah@charter.net or 347-7329.

Tim Henke reads to fellow Westside Senior Center writers and friends at a Story Share in Fall 2009.

About first person productions

My blog "True Stories Well Told" is a place for people who read and write about real life. I’ve been leading life writing groups since 2004. I teach, coach memoir writers 1:1, and help people publish and share their life stories.
